External application of
medical tape is often used for various types of skin trauma or surgery, pasted on gauze, and then pasted on the skin to protect the wound. The glue marks left by the external coating or application of medical tape, medical tape is the colloid attached to the surface of the tape. Colloids are a class of fat-soluble substances, and the patient cannot be cleaned with water. The specific treatment methods are as follows:
1. Local repeated external application of vegetable oil: Repeated rubbing with vegetable oil, such as sesame oil, rapeseed oil, olive oil, peanut oil, can be dipped in oil with a cotton swab and rubbed repeatedly. After the local colloid is completely dissolved, then wash it with soap or soap;
2. Anti-allergic ointment for external use: Some patients are allergic to colloids on the tape or local application, and local contact dermatitis occurs. In addition to the glue marks on the medical tape, there can also be skin manifestations of allergic inflammation, which are edematous erythema, papules, small blisters, and desquamation that are exactly the same shape as the tape. If the patient is allergic to the colloid of the tape, topical ointment with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects, such as hormone cream, zinc oxide, boric acid solution, etc., can be applied locally to remove the substances left by the tape that cause allergic inflammation.
